Award Scheme

We follow the Swimming Teachers Association's internationally recognised learn to swim programme for babies called the Starfish programme. Details of the STA can be found on their website www.sta.co.uk or follow the link below to find details of the various levels. The link provides information regarding the badges that we can award and is a useful guide to see where and how your baby will progress with their swimming and what they will be aiming to achieve. Badges and certificates are awarded by us three times a year at the end of each full school term. You will also notice that the criteria for the swimming levels are also printed ont he certidicates.

 

For the older children we follow the Learn to Swim Pathway governed by the ASA (amateur swimming association) which is the scheme used by most schools and large pools. Information regarding the ASA can be found on their website www.asa.org
